The Fairview Electric Department borrows an infrared heat-detecting machine for a few days during the winter. We do not know exactly when it will be here but, we can come to your house during the evening hours (when it gets dark) to show you where heat is being lost around windows, doors, roofs, etc. There is NO CHARGE for this test but you need to call the City Clerk's Office at 227-4416 so we can put you on the list. We only have the machine for a few days, so please sign up early. This will show you where insulation, caulking and other energy conservation measures can be made to reduce your wintertime energy bills.
